My Connection is not stable, what should I do?
The connection is not stable can be cause by many factors. One of it may be due to the IP address conflict on your network card. To solve this please follow the below steps:
- Do a direct connection => bypass splitter / microfilter / router / hub / switch
- Restart modem (15 sec)
- Click Start>Run>”CMD” click OK
- In the Command prompt type “ipconfig /all” – This will show all IP address in all your network card
- Type “ipconfig /renew” to renew all ip address setting
- Make sure DHCP is enable and the IP range that you should get is “192.168.0.X” or 192.168.1.X” or “10.0.0.X” or “10.0.1.x” or “10.1.1.x”
- If you do not get this address you may want to reset the modem by pressing the RESET Button for 10 sec. Note that you have to copy down your user ID “XXXX@infoage” and password to somewhere before doing the reset procedure.
- To confirm your connection is up type “ping www.infoage.com.my or www.yahoo.com” in the command prompt. It will give you a response time. If it say “response time out” means you are not online yet.
